The International Plein - Air Workshop of Painting and Sculpture „Kozienice Forest, Garbatka-Letnisko Inspiration", is a meeting place for artists who appreciate the special atmosphere of Mazowsze, including Kozienice district, where Garbatka - Letnisko with its beautiful nature was mercifully put.
The author of the idea for the first plein - air workshops in our Secondary School was the Head of Kozienice district - Janusz Stąpór. About 100 of artist form Poland and abroad took part in plein-air workshops along with participants of iconographic workshops from the group „Droga Ikony” (www.drogaikony.jezuici.pl). Artist had a chance to sightsee Kozienice district and beautiful surroundings of Kozienice Forest (Puszcza Kozienicka). Artists’ passion and spirited atmosphare during the plain-air workshops as well as meetings with local community representatives and art sympathizers has revealed a great need to paticipate in culture trough the continuation of artistic happenings in Garbatka. In accordance with the form of our plein-air workshops, it will end with an exhabit of artists’ works created during workshops. They will also be presented after the plein-air workshop.
Having new ideas and experience we nerich the form of the meetings by inviting more guestsfrom abroad along with more workshops in diffrent areas of artistic culture.
