Traveling means adventures as well and this is what we experience in that episode. While sailing in the Bahamas we get to Staniel Cay, the place is famous for Thunderball grotto and Big Major Cay with swimming pigs! For dessert, see Ania being chased by stingray :) and then .... a fight of barracuda and shark! Can you imagine pigs taking sunbath and swimming in the sea? :) What is the story of that place? How did the pigs get there? :) Pig Beach, also known as Pig Island, Major Cay, and officially Big Major Cay is an uninhabited island located in Exuma, the Bahamas. The island takes its unofficial name from the fact that it is populated by a colony of feral pigs that live on the island and in the surrounding shallows. The island is home to approximately 20 pigs and piglets. The pigs are said to have been dropped off on Big Major Cay by a group of sailors who wanted to come back and cook them. The sailors, though, never returned. The pigs survived on excess food dumped from passing ships. The other story tells the pigs were survivors of a shipwreck and managed to swim to shore, while another claims that the pigs had escaped from a nearby islet. Others suggest that the pigs were part of a business scheme to attract tourists to the Bahamas. The pigs are now fed by locals and tourists. Thunderball Grotto is famous and got its name from the 1965 James Bond spy film "Thunderball," which was shot there. It was also the site of another James Bond film, "Never Say Never Again" in 1983, also based on the Thunderball novel. Grotto is an amazing underwater cave, great for snorkeling, diving, and wading. Full of brilliantly colored coral reefs and fish, The grotto's mystique is heightened by the small, almost hidden entrance. It is advised to enter at ebb tide (low or slack tide). On our way back to Martinique we stop in Saint Vincent for the very first time with our boat just to grab a local sim card :) Ania is highly motivated to get it! We are sailing amazing Bahamas. We visited Little Farmers Cay, typical bahamian village where we most enjoyed playing with a local turtle. On our way we stopped at Norman`s Pond Cay and Leaf Cay where pink iguanas live. We spend a morning feeding and playing with them. Kuba and Julian loved to showed them their toys and got a really big audience for that :) Also, watch how we produced the intro for our videos, that part of making big heart with our home inside. Ania was driving a dinghy very fast to get this wake and eventually heart effect just behind her... while Bartek was flying and making a video with drone. While we were sailing in the Grenadines in April we managed to record playing this amazing instrument in Salt Whistle Bay in Mayreau, in the Grenadines - our favorite place. This is the first recording of my beloved instrument. We first heard and saw it 8 years ago in a park in Barcelona and were completely mesmerized by it. Finally last year I found a beautiful man in Poland who makes hang drums in his garage for a reasonable cost and ordered one. I have been having loads of fun with it since. It was first created in Switzerland about 2 decades ago and at first it was very hard to get. You also had to prove yourself spiritually worthy to own one supposedly. Enjoy :). The Earth in the Bahamas really is flat. The depths are very shallow and the islands don't reach more than few meters above sea level. Imagine a 202 meter deep sink hole just few meters of the beach. It being in the water makes it actually a blue hole. Dean's Blue Hole is where a lot of freediving World Championships have taken place. As our luck has it we not only got to dive it, but we also met one of the former freediving world record holders practicing. His result is 3 minutes and 10 seconds without breath while reaching the depth of 110 meters and returning to the surface. Wow! There is a permanent platform fixed in the middle of the deepest circle with a 202 meter long line strung to the very bottom of the hole. Bartek dove to about 20 meters. It is just a circle of light above the total dark and quite void. It's magic. Enjoy. Dean's Blue Hole is the world's second deepest known salt water blue hole with an entrance below the sea level. It plunges 202 metres (663 ft) in a bay west of Clarence Town on Long Island, Bahamas.
