How to decide on what boat to buy - Beaching About Life 33245

Hola Dear Friends,

This time we'd like to take up the often occurring questions related to the big decision of boat selection for us and also help you with your potential decision.
We talk about the importance of answering few very important questions before making this huge decision:
1. The fundamental purpose that the boat is going to serve you or why are you buying it in the first place?
2. How much or often are you going to use it?
3. Is it going to be live aboard or close to it, which would be long term cruising?
4. Family or not and how big, and what ages?
5. Where are you going to cruise?

Depending on those answers we give you some idea of why we chose Poly and not another boat. Why did we choose project boat (one that needs substantial amount of work) over ready for sail one? How does the homework we did pre and post purchase benefit us now and why is it important for everyone thinking about this step from land to the sea.
