Subject Pronouns
How do subject pronouns work?
Subject pronouns are used to replace the subject (person or thing) of a verb e.g.:
David is tall and David is handsome.
Saying the word „David” twice is repetitive and doesn't sound natural.
We replace the subject „David” that appears the second time with the subject pronoun „he” to avoid repetition e.g.:
David is tall and he is handsome.

When to use „it”?

When you refer to objects, things, animals, and ideas e.g.,
Try this pudding. I have made it myself.

Sometimes when we don't know the sex of a baby, then we can use „it” e.g.,
Their baby is very small. It is so cute.

When we talk about the time, temperature or weather e.g.,
It is warm today. = The weather is warm today.
