Friday marks one year since Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton were last seen alive.

As the small community of Morenci, Michigan marks the somber date, there is some progress in the investigation but still no sign of them. The community hopes to change that Friday.

Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks says police will be conducting a road canvass Friday morning from 4am to 7am at the intersection of Morenci Road and US 127. That's around the same time and area where their father John Skelton was seen driving a year ago.

John Skelton has not been charged with their murder but is serving a 15 year prison sentence on unlawful imprisonment charges. Skelton claims he gave the boys to an organization to protect them from their mother.

Chief Weeks along with the Morenci Mayor and Skelton family and friends will gather on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the disappearance. An observance ceremony is set for 2 pm inside the Morenci High School gym.
