An Adrian man has been charged with lying to police about the whereabouts of the missing Skelton brothers.

Authorities say 50-year-old Robert Jamison while in jail made up a detailed story about what happened to the brothers. They say Jamison's lies wasted investigator's time.

9-year-old Andrew, 7-year-old Alexander and 5-year-old Tanner Skelton were last seen at their father's home in Morenci during Thanksgiving 2010.

Their father, John Skelton, claims he didn't hurt his son and that he gave them to a group to protect them. He's serving 10 to 15 years in prison for unlawful imprisonment.

Police believe the brothers are dead.
