'Despicable': St. Clair mom gets 45 months in prison after offering 4-year-old daughter for sex: It's a horrible situation that was thankfully stopped before it came to fruition. Andrea Ziza of St. Clair is heading to prison after allegedly offering to let a man she met on a dating website have sex with her 4-year-old daughter. A judge called her actions "despicable" and sentenced Ziza to between 42 months and seven years in prison.

Father of missing Skelton brothers maintains boys are safe: In a series of interviews with The Detroit Free Press, John Skelton insisted he didn't know the whereabouts of Andrew, 9; Alexander, 7; and Tanner, 5; and that he won't until he's released from the Lenawee County jail. Now, he says the three boys from southern Michigan missing since Thanksgiving are in the custody of members of an underground sanctuary group.

Oak Park woman may face jury trial, jail time for planting vegetable garden in front yard: Yes, you read that correctly – a woman faces 93 days in jail for gardening. Oak Park officials warned Julie Bass that her garden violated city code, gave her a ticket and eventually charged her with a misdemeanor, leading to a potential jury trial and possible jail time.

Report: Somerset Collection in Troy bringing high-class shopping stores to downtown Detroit: The state's most prestigious shopping mall is planning to bring a little part of itself to downtown Detroit ... for a limited time. he Somerset Collection in Troy will bring mini versions of several of its stores -- including Neiman Marcus, Kate Spade, Saks Fifth Avenue, Coach, the North Face, Anne Fontaine and the Gap - to downtown Detroit later this month. Government wants electric cars to make noise; Ford wants your help picking Focus Electric sound: The U.S. government is making noise over electric vehicles not making enough noise. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Thursday announced that it is beginning to develop new rules that will require hybrid and electric vehicles to make noise at low speeds in order to warn pedestrians -- including the visually-impaired -- of their presence. Well, Ford Motor Co. wants your help to pick a noise.
