Friday marks one year since Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton were last seen alive.

Morenci Police Chief Larry Weeks says police will be conducting a road canvass this morning from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. at the intersection of Morenci Road and US 127.

That's around the same time and area where their father John Skelton was seen driving a year ago.

The boys' father, John Skelton, is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence on unlawful imprisonment charges. Skelton claims he gave the boys to an underground organization in order to protect them from their mother.

Friends and family will also gather on Sunday to mark the anniversary of the disappearance. An observance ceremony is set for 2 p.m. inside the Morenci High School gym.
