A man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison for lying to police about the whereabouts of the missing Skelton brothers.

R obert Jamison told Morenci police that he talked with the boys father shortly after they disappeared in 2010. Jamison claimed John Skelton had talked about placing the boys with an organization because of a custody dispute with their mother.

T he Daily Telegram reports Jamison pleaded guilty and was sentenced Thursday in Lenawee County court for making a false statement to police.

P olice say they spent a lot of time looking into Jamison's claim. Andrew, Alexander, and Tanner Skelton have been missing since thanksgiving 2010.
